A Set of Paragon Elegance Pattern Tea Wares
Description
A set of fine bone china tea wares manufactured by the Paragon China Company in the Elegance pattern. The collection comprises teacups and saucers. Each piece is decorated with a transfer-printed border of russet and maroon-toned autumn leaves interspersed with small pink floral sprigs on a white ground. The teacups are of a pedestal form with flared rims and scrolled handles, finished with gilt lining to the rims, handles, and feet. The saucers feature a matching foliate border and gilt edges. The underside of the pieces bears a brown printed factory mark including the Royal Coat of Arms and the text By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen, China Potters, Paragon, Fine Bone China, Made in England, Regd. The pattern name Elegance is written in cursive script, accompanied by a hand-painted numeral 7.
