A Collection of Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes Fraternal Regalia and Sashes
Description
This collection of fraternal regalia belongs to the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) and comprises various embroidered textile sashes and associated accessories. The group includes a maroon sash with gold-coloured metallic fringe and embroidery reading WAKEFIELD & DEWSBURY PROV. P.G.P. 2001. A white sash is embroidered with a buffalo emblem, a green clover, the letters R.O.H., and the name BRO. HARRY LAYCOCK. Multiple light blue sashes are also present, one of which is embroidered with BRO. HARRY L and ROH. The items are accompanied by dark blue and black protective carrying cases, with the black case featuring a silver-tone metal badge depicting a buffalo and the letters R.O.H. The sashes are constructed from various fabrics with metallic thread work.
The items as displayed occupy an area of approximately 40 cm in width.
