A Set of Colclough Bone China Tea and Dinner Wares in the Ivy Leaf Pattern
Description
This set of fine bone china is manufactured by Colclough of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. The pieces are decorated in the Ivy Leaf pattern, which is designated by the pattern number D 874. The design features transfer-printed trailing green ivy leaves on a white ground with gilded rims. The service consists of teacups with loop handles, matching saucers, side plates, a larger handled cake or bread-and-butter plate, and a cream jug. The plates and saucers feature scalloped or fluted edges. The underside of the pieces bears a black crown mark above the Colclough name in pink script, with the words Bone China, D 874, and Made in England. Some pieces are also marked Ivy Leaf in green capital letters.
