Two Franklin Mint Limited Edition Porcelain Collector's Plates
Description
Two porcelain decorative collector’s plates produced by Franklin Mint. The first plate, titled Paradise in Bloom, features a central transfer-printed motif of a hummingbird and hibiscus blossoms, surrounded by a floral border on a dark ground and finished with a gilded rim. The reverse is marked with the Franklin Mint Heirloom Recommendation crest and identifies the piece as a limited edition in fine porcelain, also bearing a manufacturer’s sticker with part number B11UJ18. The second plate depicts a floral still life arrangement in a vase against a dark brown ground, also featuring a gilded rim and a printed cursive signature in the upper left of the composition. This plate bears a small adhesive label numbered 2288 to the upper rim. Both items are contained within their original styrofoam transit packaging.
