Description
A comprehensive porcelain dinner and tea service bearing the mark of Royal Fine Porcelain. The service is constructed from white porcelain and features a broad gold-tone border decorated with a continuous geometric Greek key motif, bordered by thin gilt bands. The gilding appears to be transfer-applied. The handles and finials of the lidded pieces and cups are further accented with gilt highlights. The collection comprises various forms including dinner plates, side plates, saucers, teacups, coffee cups, twin-handled soup bowls, lidded serving tureens, a lidded teapot, a lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, and a pair of salt and pepper shakers. The base of the items features a printed mark in black consisting of a central crown symbol with the word ROYAL positioned above and FINE PORCELAIN positioned below.
