A Collection of Assorted Silver-Plated and Decorative Picture Frames
Description
A collection of assorted picture frames in various sizes and decorative styles. The group includes several silver-toned frames featuring cast scrollwork, floral motifs, and pierced borders in Art Nouveau and Baroque revival styles. One frame is decorated with blue and cream enamelling and raised rose floral motifs. Also included is an ornate oval filigree frame with a scrolled metalwork border set with numerous brown-coloured faceted paste or glass stones. The collection further contains minimalist rectangular frames with beaded edges and a small brass-toned oval frame. Several items are fitted with velvet-covered easel backs. One frame bears a paper insert marked SILVERPLATED and M.L. London, featuring a printed Union Jack flag. Another frame features a gold-coloured sticker marked MADE IN KOREA. No solid silver hallmarks are visible on the items.
