A Collection of Ursula Band for WWF Collector's Plates and a Porcelain Twin-Handled Dish
Description
A collection of porcelain decorative ceramics comprising a group of collector’s plates and a twin-handled dish. The circular plates feature gilded rims and transfer-printed designs. The uppermost plate depicts blue tits on a branch and bears the signature U. Band. Web intelligence identifies this as part of the Europäische Singvögel or Songbirds of Europe series produced for the World Wildlife Fund. Other plates in the stack feature various wildlife and landscape motifs, including a design with a green border and the word ADRIATIC in red lettering. The small oval dish is designed with two scrolled handles and features a transfer-printed figurative scene of figures in eighteenth-century costume within a garden. The decoration includes a green scrolling leaf border with pink floral sprays and hand-coloured enamel highlights on the handles. No manufacturer marks are visible on the undersides of the items.
