A Collection of Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes RAOB Ceremonial Collars
Description
A collection of fraternal regalia for the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB). Each piece is constructed from a burgundy ribbed fabric base overlaid with gilt-metal chains and a variety of enamelled and cast metal plaques. The larger shield-shaped plaques feature a central raised bull’s head and are inscribed with Wakefield Prov. Commercial Lodge No. 7824, alongside the words Justice, Philanthropy, and Truth. Multiple diamond-shaped badges are finished with red, blue, and white enamel and bear the letters R A O B. Circular medallions also display a bull’s head motif surrounded by the text Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes. Further cartouche-shaped plaques feature blue enamelled characters including C P, M A, and C. The metal elements are linked by decorative gilt-metal chains secured to the fabric backing.
