Two vintage portable reel-to-reel tape recorders including a Mastertone BSR model
Description
This lot consists of two vintage portable reel-to-reel tape recorders. The first unit is a Mastertone model featuring a BSR deck. It is housed in a portable wooden case covered in two-tone cream and red textured rexine. The interior of the lid is lined with red fabric featuring a white diamond pattern. The unit includes two-tone plastic knobs and a sliding control lever. One reel is fitted with EMITAPE magnetic tape. The second unit is finished in a grey hammer-tone textured casing with a clear plastic protective lid. It features a rotary volume and power knob and a multi-position control lever. The top plate is marked with functions including play, record, and fast forward. A lot label from Shelbys Auctioneers is adhered to the top plate.
