Mdina Glass Sand and Sea pattern decanter and stopper
Description
Mdina Glass Sand and Sea pattern decanter and stopper. This hand-blown studio glass decanter with matching globular stopper is attributed to Mdina Glass, Malta. The piece is decorated in the Sand and Sea pattern, featuring a turquoise-blue body with internal green trailed and swirled patterns. The vessel has a cylindrical form with a rounded shoulder and a flared rim, supported by a thick, solid blue glass base. The globular stopper features matching internal decoration. The glass contains small air bubbles, or seeds, characteristic of the blowing process. A white adhesive inventory label marked 9627 is attached to the body. Faint, indistinct surface marks are present on the base.
