A Collection of Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes and Civic Commemorative Jewels and Medals
Description
A collection of commemorative and fraternal jewels and medals, primarily associated with the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB) and significant civic events in the United Kingdom. The collection includes a jewel commemorating the birth of H.R.H. Prince George of Cambridge on 22nd July 2013, featuring a cross-shaped pendant with the inscription A Prince To High Is Born. Also present is an RAOB jewel marking the 325th anniversary of the Siege of Derry (1688-2013), featuring the RAOB monogram and the Latin motto Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit. Civic interest items include a medal for the City of Derry UK City of Culture 2013 and a fraternal jewel for Wakefield dated 2015 bearing the motto Palma Non Sine Pulvere. Further items include an Overseas Buffaloes Association (OBA) badge with the motto Per Orbem Colo, a Millennium 2000 commemorative jewel with a multi-coloured rainbow ribbon, a British Columbia star badge, and a Bradford 84 ribbon bar.
