Description
A Victorian spoon-back nursing chair featuring a carved walnut frame. The chair is upholstered in a cream damask-patterned fabric with deep button-tufting to the backrest. The frame displays ornate foliate and scroll carving to the crest rail, shoulders, and the knees of the cabriole legs, which terminate in scroll feet. The timber is a dark-toned hardwood. A small white sticker with the digits 4776 is attached to the crest rail. No maker’s marks or labels are present.
