Description
An Aurain 31-day mechanical wall clock in the regulator style, featuring a dark-stained wooden case with a broken-arch pediment. The case is detailed with turned columns and decorative carved scrollwork. The dial displays a golden-toned chapter ring with black Roman numerals and ornate openwork hands, set against a central wood-grain effect panel with brass-tone spandrels. The movement is a 31-day mechanical type with two winding holes. The lower glazed panel is decorated with a golden-tone foliate print, through which a circular brass-tone pendulum bob is visible. This style of clock is characteristic of late 20th-century production, often attributed to South Korean manufacturers.
