Description
A pair of impressionistic water colours on canvas board by E. Stott, depicting coastal harbour scenes in Whitby. The works feature masted fishing vessels and harbour structures rendered with visible, textured brushwork in a light colour palette. Regarding inscriptions, the painting positioned at the bottom of the image is inscribed WHITBY in the lower right corner and signed and dated E. STOTT 1934 in the upper right. The top painting is inscribed WHITBY in the upper right and signed E. STOTT in the lower right. Both works are housed in matching, wide-profile gilt wooden frames.
