A Collection of Waterford Style Cut Lead Crystal Glassware Including Three Decanters and Four Stemware Glasses Category: Cut Glass & Crystal
Description
A collection of colourless cut lead crystal items, executed in a traditional pattern featuring deep diamond and vertical wedge cuts, characteristic of the iconic Lismore design. The assembly comprises two square-bodied spirit decanters with multi-faceted stoppers and one additional decanter of similar cut but varying form. The stemware consists of four matching glasses, likely intended for sherry or liqueurs, featuring decorated bowls supported by plain slender stems and circular bases. One decanter is adorned with a heart-shaped ceramic bottle label, inscribed SHERRY within a pink floral border and suspended by a fine metal chain. While the pattern is synonymous with 20th-century Irish crystal production, specifically Waterford, no acid-etched maker marks are visible. Decanters approximately 24cm to 26cm in height including stoppers. Glasses approximately 13cm in height.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant abrasions to the crystal bodies or rims. The stoppers appear to be original and fit securely. The ceramic bottle label is intact with no evidence of crazing or loss to the enamel decoration. Minor shelf wear is present on the underside of the bases consistent with age and domestic use.
