Various Makers, Large Quantity of Watchmaker’s Crystals and Optical Tools, Mid-20th Century
Description
A substantial workshop lot comprising a large quantity of round watch crystals and horological optical tools. The collection includes glass and acrylic crystals from various manufacturers, including VTF, G-S, and SWA. Many crystals retain their original paper labels with size specifications such as 35 1/8 and GEG 16 6/16. Included is a multi-lens folding jeweller’s loupe with a black plastic body and metal hinges, embossed JAPAN. The lot also contains an orange rectangular block, likely polishing compound or a sharpening stone. The entire collection is housed in a utilitarian tan plastic storage tray.
Condition report:
Optical clarity is variable across the lot; while many crystals are clear, several exhibit surface dust, grime, and minor abrasions consistent with bulk storage. The folding magnifier is in functional working order with smooth hinge movement, though lenses show signs of use. This is an unsorted accumulation of professional stock, sold as seen for workshop parts. The plastic storage tray shows typical wear.
