German and European, Group of Three Vintage Porcelain Terrier Figurines and Perfume Lamps
Description
A collection of three vintage glazed porcelain figurines depicting terrier-type dogs with hand-painted polychrome decoration. The group includes a sitting terrier with a blue bow, which serves as a perfume lamp or night light base and contains an internal vintage twisted-fabric electrical cord; this piece is stamped Germany in red on the foot rim. The second piece is a smaller sitting terrier of similar aesthetic with no visible marks. The third piece depicts a pair of terrier dogs side-by-side, stamped Foreign in blue underglaze with a circular maker’s mark and an impressed model number 4980. Height approximately 15 cm.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good vintage condition. The perfume lamp retains its original electrical cord, which is untested and exhibits signs of age. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are evident. There is minor shelf wear to the unglazed bases and light age-related crazing may be present.
