Various Makers, Novelty Egg Cups and Character Figures
Description
A collection of approximately 45 vintage and modern novelty egg cups by various makers, potentially including Carlton Ware and Price & Kensington. The subjects include character figures such as Sooty, various animals including bears, cats, pigs, chicks, and rabbits, and anthropomorphic faces. The lot also contains traditional plain, banded, and floral-decorated cups, and a pair of pig-themed salt and pepper shakers. Most pieces are glazed ceramic or porcelain. Height 5cm to 8cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in fair to good vintage condition. There are visible signs of wear consistent with age and use, including a small chip on the rim of one yellow cup. Minor crazing, rubbing to the paint or glaze, and small nicks are typical for a bulk lot of this nature.
