A Victorian Style Cranberry and Clear Glass Hand Bell with Ruffled Rim
Description
A decorative hand bell of Victorian inspiration, featuring a hand-blown cranberry glass body and an applied clear glass handle. The handle is fashioned with a distinctive graduated, tiered finial. The bell body exhibits a pronounced crimped or ruffled rim, a technique characteristic of late 19th-century art glass. The interior retains its original glass clapper. While no maker’s marks are present, the form and colour palette are consistent with traditional British or American cranberry glass production. The handle bears a small inventory sticker numbered 6182. Length: Approximately 13 inches.
Condition report:
The piece is in fair condition. The handle has been glued at the point of attachment to the bell body. There is minor surface wear and dust consistent with age and handling.
