This lot features a comprehensive selection of writing instruments from the mid-20th century to the contemporary era. Highlights include a modern Parker twin set comprising a fountain pen and ballpoint in matte navy-blue resin with gold-toned trim; the fountain pen is equipped with a medium steel nib and a cartridge filling system. A Sheaffer slim-profile set follows, finished in gold-plate with a longitudinal pinstripe engine-turned pattern, featuring the signature White Dot on the clips of the ballpoint and mechanical pencil. A vintage Platignum set includes a black resin fountain pen with a brushed steel cap and steel nib, alongside a matching propelling pencil. Condition report:
The boxed Parker and Sheaffer sets are in near-mint condition and appear largely unused. The vintage Platignum and Burnham sets show minor shelf wear to the original packaging but the instruments remain in good vintage condition. Loose items, including the Parker 45 style pen and various utility instruments, exhibit varying degrees of surface scratches and ink residue consistent with age and use. Fountain pen nibs appear straight and undamaged, though ink flow and filling systems remain untested. No visible cracks to the resin or celluloid bodies.
