The lot includes various die-cast metal sharpeners in the form of grandfather clocks, globes, a jet aeroplane, vehicles, and clocks. Figural items comprise composite or chalkware heads of a cowboy, Native American chief, and Santa, alongside a Bakelite-style elephant, black cat, and a British red pillar post box. Materials range from tin-litho and die-cast zinc alloy to early plastics and paper. Brands include Symington’s, Cerebos, and a boxed Novelty Sharpener from Hong Kong. These original mid-century pieces represent a diverse cross-section of desk collectibles from the 1930s through to the 1960s. Dimensions: Items range from 2cm to 9cm in height.

Condition report:

The collection is in mixed vintage condition. Metal components show expected surface oxidation, paint chips, and minor pitting to the die-cast surfaces. Tin-litho globes exhibit light scratches and small areas of surface rust. Figural composite heads show paint wear and scuffing. Paper and cardboard items, including the Symington\'s box and the Hong Kong sharpener box, show edge wear, light foxing, and age-related discolouration. No modern reproductions are present. All items are sold as-is with mechanical functionality of sharpeners untested.
