Description
Attributed to Wayne Vanscoy (American, Contemporary). A dramatic, low-angle monochrome print in sepia tones depicting a Venetian canal featuring the Bridge of Sighs and a silhouetted gondola. The work is rendered in a contemporary style that emphasises the architectural details of the canal walls. While no signature is visible on the front of the artwork, the verso features an adhesive label identifying the artist as W. Vanscoy and the title as Don’t Look Back, alongside inventory numbers 10731 and W650/735. The medium is a photographic print on paper or board. The work is housed in a wide, multi-tiered wooden frame with a cream-coloured liner and a gold-tone inner fillet. An inventory tag is attached to the exterior left side of the frame.
Condition report:
The print and frame are in good condition. There is a visible moisture stain and an area of discolouration on the brown backing board on the verso, situated near the artist\'s label. The frame exhibits minor surface scuffs consistent with handling.
