Produced by House Parts, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia, this contemporary garden sculpture is crafted from a cast composite material. The subject is St. Francis of Assisi, depicted in traditional monastic robes with a corded waist, holding a book and a cross, accompanied by a small bird at his feet. The casting features a stylised, simplified aesthetic with a textured weathered lead finish designed to simulate the patina of aged metal. There are no artist signatures or foundry marks; however, the underside bears original manufacturer labels identifying House Parts, Inc. and noting the piece was designed in Atlanta and made in China. The sculpture is set upon an integral, irregular rocky base. 23 x 8.5 x 7.5 inches.
