Goebel Hummel Ceramic Table Lamp Base, Mid-20th Century, Out of Danger Motif
Description
A vintage ceramic table lamp base produced by W. Goebel, Western Germany. The design features a classic Hummel figurine motif known as Out of Danger, depicting a young boy climbing a tree to escape a small dog below. The piece is crafted from hand-painted earthenware with a characteristic matte finish. The base is clearly marked with the blue V and Bee Goebel trademark, the by W. Goebel signature, and the incised model number 44B. The lamp is fitted with a standard brass-effect bayonet bulb holder and a white electrical lead with a modern UK three-pin plug. Height to the top of the ceramic section is approximately 10.5 inches.
Condition report:
The ceramic body appears to be in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or visible repairs. The electrical system is untested and is sold as a decorative object; it must be inspected and certified by a qualified electrician prior to use. No lampshade is present.
