Description
A partial dinner and tea service by the celebrated English factory Royal Doulton, featuring the Juliet pattern (H.5077) from The Romance Collection, dated 1981. The service is crafted from fine bone china with a creamy white ground, decorated with a refined transfer-printed border of pink, blue, and yellow floral sprays amongst light blue scrollwork. Each piece is finished with a hand-applied gilded rim. The set comprises multiple dinner plates, side plates, saucers, teacups, and a single oval serving platter. The undersides are marked with the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp, transcribing as: Made in England, Royal Doulton, English Fine Bone China, The Romance Collection, Juliet, H. 5077, Copyright Royal Doulton Tableware Ltd 1981. This pattern exemplifies the traditional floral aesthetic of late 20th-century English tableware. Dinner plates approximately 27 centimetres diameter, platter approximately 34 centimetres length.
