A contemporary or Hollywood Regency inspired cabinet of rectangular form, finished in a striking high-gloss black lacquer. The piece features a distinctive shaped backboard housing an inset circular mirror. The lower cabinet section is accessed via doors fitted with chrome-toned ring-pull handles and exposed hinges, offering internal storage suitable for use as a vanity or compact bar. The design draws heavily from Art Deco aesthetics of the 1930s and 1940s, characterised by its sleek lines and monochromatic colour palette. No maker’s marks are present. Dimensions: To be confirmed.
Condition report:
The cabinet is in generally good structural condition. The black lacquer finish exhibits minor surface scuffs, light scratches, and a layer of surface dust consistent with age and use. The inset circular mirror shows significant foxing and silvering loss around the perimeter. A small white inventory sticker is adhered to the front right side.
