Lot 107:
Unmarked, Large Group Lot of Lighting Components and Shades, Early to Mid-20th Century Italian Liberty Style
Description
This group lot comprises a large assortment of vintage and antique lighting components, including multi-arm chandeliers and wall sconces, ideal for restoration projects. The pieces are manufactured from cast and spun brass, exhibiting varying degrees of natural patina. The lot includes thirteen decorative glass shades: three ruffled-edge green glass shades with a soft petal design, two mottled tan and amber-toned art glass shades, five frosted clear glass globe-style shades, and three additional translucent mottled glass shades. The fixtures appear to be of early to mid-20th-century manufacture, showing styles consistent with the Italian Liberty period. Electrical status is untested with original wiring present. Dimensions: Various sizes.
Condition report:
The items are in as-found vintage condition and are currently disassembled. The brass components exhibit significant dust, surface tarnish, and wear consistent with age and long-term storage. Glass shades should be inspected for minor flea bites or small rim chips typical of age. One chandelier frame is partially reassembled, while the remainder of the lot consists of loose parts. The electrical systems are untested and feature old, original wiring; professional rewiring and cleaning are strongly recommended before installation. This is sold as a parts lot and may not contain complete, matching sets for all included fixtures.
