Royal Crown Derby, Miniature Loving Cups - Royal Commemorative and Scenic
Description
A collection of four Royal Crown Derby miniature two-handled porcelain loving cups, also known as tygs. The group includes three royal commemoratives: two celebrating the birth of H.R.H. Prince William of Wales on 21st June 1982, decorated in the Derby Posies pattern with date code XLV; and one celebrating the birth of H.R.H. Prince Henry of Wales on 15th September 1984, decorated in the Royal Pinxton Rose pattern with date code XLVII. The fourth cup features a hand-painted continuous landscape scene depicting a manor house by water in soft blue and green hues. All pieces are crafted from fine bone china with gilded handles and rims, bearing the Royal Crown Derby factory backstamp in red or gold. Height: 4 cm.
Condition report:
The items are in excellent professional condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. No signs of past restoration or repair are present. The gilding on the handles and rims remains bright and shows minimal to no signs of wear.
