Description
A varied collection of ten art glass paperweights, primarily of Italian and European origin, showcasing a range of traditional decorative techniques. The assortment includes several millefiori weights featuring concentric cane patterns in vibrant colours, notably one example with a central gilded heraldic lion motif set against a black ground. The collection further comprises two studio glass weights with internal white spiral swirls and controlled bubbles (bullicante) on purple and clear grounds, a small lampworked weight with a floral motif, and a faceted millefiori weight. A larger circular weight displays a printed transfer of Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss, while another example features a mottled red textured finish. These pieces represent 20th-century glassmaking styles typical of the Murano workshops and other art glass studios. Most pieces feature polished bases; no specific maker’s marks or signatures are present. Diameters range from approximately 3.5 cm to 10 cm.
