A Collection of Aynsley Pembroke Pattern Bone China and a Royal Worcester Porcelain Figurine Category: Ceramics
Description
A varied collection of English decorative ceramics, primarily featuring pieces from the Aynsley Pembroke range. The lot includes a fine bone china teacup with a striking turquoise blue exterior and floral interior, a matching saucer, a small twin-handled pedestal vase, and a cream jug. These pieces are decorated with polychrome transfer-printed motifs of exotic birds and floral sprays, finished with hand-applied gilded rims. Backstamps include the green Aynsley mark, with several noted as a Reproduction of Eighteenth Century Aynsley Design. Also included is a Royal Worcester porcelain figurine from the Moments series titled Birthday Girl, depicting a young girl in a pale blue dress holding a gift. Completing the group is a small black-glazed bird figurine with a yellow beak and an additional miniature vase with floral decoration. Figurine height approximately 16cm. Largest jug height approximately 12cm. Overall group width approximately 35cm.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. Minor surface wear and very light rubbing to the gilding consistent with age and occasional use. No visible chips, cracks, or restorations detected upon initial inspection.
