Goebel Hummel, Doll Bath, Merry Wanderer and Feeding Time
Description
This lot comprises three hand-painted porcelain figurines manufactured by Goebel, West Germany, after the original drawings of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. The collection includes Doll Bath (Hum 319) depicting a young girl washing a doll in a tub, Merry Wanderer (Hum 11) featuring a boy with a basket, and the larger multi-figure group Feeding Time (Hum 199/I) showing a boy playing a flute alongside a girl on a rustic fence with two lambs. The smaller figurines bear the TMK-6 Goebel W. Germany trademark, while the larger group features the earlier V with Bee mark (TMK-2 or TMK-3). Each piece exhibits the traditional matte bisque finish and Bavarian-style attire. Heights 11cm to 15cm.
Condition report:
The Merry Wanderer figurine is missing the umbrella originally held in the right hand; the break point is smooth. The Doll Bath and Feeding Time figurines appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor shelf wear is present on the undersides.
