A Vintage Alfa Model 40 Challenge Electric Sewing Machine with Original Case and Accessories
Description
Alfa (Spanish, founded 1920). A mid-20th-century industrial design object comprising a Model 40 Challenge electric sewing machine. The piece features a cream-enamelled cast metal body mounted upon a light wood base. Inscribed on the arm in script: ALFA Challenge. Included with the lot is a dark brown foot pedal with cord and the original instruction manual titled This Is Your Alfa: Instruction Book for Model 40. The entire set is contained within its original brown textured hardshell carrying case, featuring a brown handle and a central metal latch. The case bears a small white inventory sticker to the lid.
Condition report:
The machine and accessories are in good vintage condition. The carrying case exhibits minor surface scuffing consistent with age and use. A small inventory sticker is present on the exterior of the case. Mechanical and electrical components are untested.
