Sanyo, System 222, Hi-Fi Rack System, 1980s
Description
This Sanyo System 222 is a solid-state component hi-fi system manufactured in Japan during the 1980s. The setup comprises a TP 222 auto-return belt drive turntable, a JA 222 stereo integrated amplifier, a JT 222L three-band radio tuner supporting FM, MW, and LW bands, and an RD 222 stereo cassette deck with metal tape compatibility. The components are housed in a black wood-effect composite vertical rack cabinet featuring a hinged glass lid and a lower storage compartment designed for vinyl records.
Condition report:
The system is currently untested for functional operation. Aesthetically, the cabinet and units are in good condition with some minor surface wear and accumulated dust consistent with age. All original knobs, buttons, and the analogue slide-rule tuning dial appear intact. The rear includes original inter-component wiring and a standard UK three-pin power cord.
