Royal Doulton, Top o' the Hill Figurine
Description
A fine Royal Doulton glazed English bone china figurine titled Top o’ the Hill, model number HN 1849. Designed by Leslie Harradine, the piece depicts a young woman in a wind-swept, voluminous pink dress with a ruffled white underskirt, wearing a wide-brimmed blue hat and a floral-patterned sash. The base bears the standard green Royal Doulton backstamp with a lion atop a crown, marked MADE IN ENGLAND and ROYAL DOULTON BONE CHINA. It includes the printed title in script, the hand-painted model number HN 1849, and the registration number Rd No 822821. Hand-painted decorator marks PW and 12 are also present. Height approximately 18 cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. The glaze is bright and the colours remain vibrant. There is minor, expected shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim.
