Nao by Lladró, 'Sea Maiden' Mermaid Figurine
Description
A Nao by Lladró glazed porcelain figurine titled ‘Sea Maiden’, model number 1598, depicting a reclining mermaid resting upon a rock-like base. She is shown holding a small pink fish, with her flowing brown hair adorned with a pale yellow starfish. The piece features a classic pastel colour palette with a high-gloss finish. The base bears the printed brown factory mark NAO above HAND MADE IN SPAIN BY LLADRÓ and © DAISA, alongside the impressed model number 1598 and decorator marks D 21 M and 8. A gold foil sticker 595/1 is also present. Width approximately 23 cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of repair. Delicate areas such as the mermaid\'s fingers, the fish\'s fins, and the points of the starfish remain intact. There is a small white inventory sticker (182) on the upper arm. Minor shelf wear and light soiling are evident on the unglazed underside of the base.
