Description

This elegant Queen Anne revival display cabinet is constructed from mahogany with a deep, dark-stained finish. The piece features a single large glazed door decorated with curvilinear glazing bars, complemented by matching glazed side panels designed to provide a panoramic view of the interior contents. The cabinet is supported by four classic cabriole legs terminating in well-defined pad feet. The construction and style are indicative of the early to mid-20th century, likely dating between 1920 and 1950, a period when such crystal cabinets were popular for the display of fine china and glassware. The piece is fitted with a simple metal door latch and shows no evidence of maker’s marks or retailer labels. Dimensions: Height 118 cm, Width 60 cm, Depth 32 cm.

Condition report:

The cabinet is in good overall structural condition with no signs of instability. The mahogany finish exhibits minor surface wear, light scuffs, and a layer of surface dust consistent with age and domestic use. The glazing is intact throughout with no visible cracks or significant scratches. The door operates smoothly on its hinges, and the cabriole legs remain sturdy.
