The first example is of all-wood construction with a dark finish, featuring a tiered rectangular base, a square-section central post, and a rounded, mushroom-form top. The second stand consists of a weighted, circular metal base with a slender, baluster-turned metal shaft supporting a flat-topped wooden head piece.
