Two Antique Personal Accessories Including a Duvelleroy Paris Folding Fan and a Carved Wood Parasol
Description
A Duvelleroy Paris folding fan and a carved wood parasol. The circular folding fan is an Italian olivewood model with a cord pull action, featuring a pleated leaf with gold-toned printed patterns and a lace-trimmed edge. The leaf bears the mark Duvelleroy Paris. The fan is mounted to a carved wooden handle which includes an inset oval mirror. A small white lot tag numbered 2819 is attached to the handle. The parasol features a dark-stained carved wooden handle with a twisted section and a hooked grip. The canopy is composed of black fabric with a tasseled detail at the top of the shaft. Both items date to the late 19th or early 20th century.
