Description
A collection of four hand-carved wooden objects, comprising three figurative sculptures and one relief panel/mask, executed in styles consistent with global tribal or tourist art. The collection includes three standing figures and one flat relief carving. The largest standing figure is executed in dark-stained wood, depicting a male figure holding a wooden spear, and is adorned with a brown feather headdress. The two smaller standing figures are carved from medium-toned wood, featuring slender forms. They are decorated with hand-painted patterned skirts in orange and black tones and accented with silver-colored wire rings at the neck and ankles. One small figure wears a carved hat, and the other a pointed headpiece. Both hold staffs or spears. The fourth item is a reddish-brown wood relief carving depicting a stylized human face surrounded by radiating, wing-like carved elements, consistent with spirit board or mask forms.
