Lot 281:
A Collection of 16 Royal Doulton Bunnykins and Mixed Decorative Ceramics
Description
The collection comprises sixteen pieces of decorative ceramics and porcelain, dating primarily from the mid-20th century or earlier. The lot includes three pieces of children’s ware identified through market consensus as Royal Doulton Bunnykins, specifically one plate and two oval bowls, featuring transferware scenes of anthropomorphic rabbits and nursery rhyme figures. The Bunnykins pieces are typically English fine bone china. The remaining items include two large lidded storage jars: one octagonal blue and white transferware jar depicting cityscapes, which retains an auction sticker marked “LOT 217”; and one white jar with colorful floral transferware decoration, fitted with a metal rim and handle. Further items include various figural pieces such as a large teal glazed ceramic rabbit, a small dark brown figural bird, and a pink-skirted lady figure designed as a bell. Vases and novelty items include a dark green tree bark-style vase, a green fluted vase accompanied by a small white figural attachment, a small yellow souvenir creamer/pitcher, a white hexagonal lidded box decorated with strawberry motifs, and a matching bell with the same strawberry pattern. The collection is completed by three miniature saucers or holders.
