A Trio of Goebel Hummel Porcelain Figurines
Description
A collection of three glazed porcelain or ceramic figurines attributed to Goebel/Hummel. Each piece depicts a child in traditional or pastoral attire, executed in polychrome enamel decoration. The lot includes: 1) A boy standing and holding a small lamb; 2) A seated girl reading an open book, identified in the market as the “Bookworm” pattern (HUM 3/1); 3) A boy standing in suspenders next to a small dog. The seated girl figurine features a white rectangular sticker affixed to the sole of the foot bearing the handwritten number 6182. All figures are mounted on circular bases.
