Cased Set of Six English Sterling Silver Teaspoons, London Hallmarks, Early 20th Century
Description
A cased set of six English sterling silver teaspoons, featuring London hallmarks, dating to the early 20th century. The set is presented in a hinged dark-exterior presentation box with a cream-colored satin-lined lid. The lid is printed with “Wilson & Sharp, Diamond Merchants, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, 139 Princes Street, Edinburgh,” and bears the handwritten number “6182.” The box’s base is lined with dark blue velvet, precisely fitted to hold the spoons. Five of the spoons share a similar design with an elongated oval bowl and a tapering handle. The sixth spoon, positioned on the far right, features a distinctly rounder bowl and broader handle, clearly displaying a series of four visible hallmarks.
