Antique Japanese Imari Porcelain Bottle Vase
Description
A Japanese porcelain bottle vase decorated in the traditional Imari palette. The vessel is decorated with underglaze cobalt blue, overglaze iron-red enamel, and gilded highlights. The hand-painted design depicts a landscape featuring pavilions and houses, surrounded by stylized floral patterns including cherry or plum blossoms and scrolling foliage. The vase features a flared rim, a slender neck, and a globular body. There are no maker’s marks or factory backstamps present on the porcelain itself. The underside of the base has an unglazed footrim and a square paper label with a blue border containing illegible handwritten characters, alongside white adhesive residue. An additional adhesive residue mark is visible on the neck.
