A 20th-century oak wall-mounted display shelf in the Yorkshire School style
Description
A late 20th-century wall-mounted mantel or display shelf constructed from solid oak with a medium-light finish. The piece is designed in the Yorkshire School style, featuring a hand-tooled adzed finish to the front and side edges. The front edge is decoratively scalloped. The shelf is supported by two shaped corbel-style brackets fixed to the underside. The reverse is fitted with two metal mounting brackets for wall attachment. A small white rectangular sticker with the handwritten numbers 501 is present on the front edge. No maker marks or carved insignias are present. This is a single-piece construction and is not modular.
