Base metal and wood collection of vintage German aneroid barometers
Description
A collection of vintage aneroid barometers of German manufacture, presented in various decorative housings. The assembly includes frames crafted from turned dark wood, polished base metal, and carved timber with scalloped edges, alongside a dark-stained architectural wall-mounted design. The circular dials are set behind glass covers and feature traditional meteorological scales with markings in English and German, including Stormy, Rain, Change, Fair, and Very Dry. The dial faces vary between white and gold-toned metallic finishes with contrasting black and red inscriptions. The metal components appear to be brass and silver-toned base metals.
