A Collection of Vintage Haberdashery and Advertising Tins including White Heather Confectionery and Hotel Metropole Ephemera, mid-20th Century
Description
This lot comprises a diverse assortment of vintage sewing supplies and decorative advertising containers. Included are two circular lithographed metal tins; one for White Heather chocolates and toffees featuring a pink and cream radial design, and another larger tin decorated with a floral motif. The collection features various haberdashery items, including a traditional wooden embroidery hoop, a large wooden spool wound with purple ribbon, and multiple bags of multicoloured embroidery floss and yarn. Of particular interest is a piece of archival paper ephemera from the Hotel Metropole, Queen’s Promenade, Douglas, Isle of Man. The items are housed within a contemporary translucent plastic storage bin which bears a small white inventory label marked 6182.
