Marble King, Collection of Vintage Rainbo Marbles and Games in Commemorative Tins, Circa 1940-1953
Description
A varied collection of mid-20th century toys and game pieces. The lot features a significant quantity of machine-made glass marbles, identified as Marble King Rainbo variants, exhibiting a diverse range of colours and internal swirls. These are housed within three period containers: a blue lithographed tin produced as A Souvenir of the Coronation of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II 1953, a weathered green Wills’s Woodbines cigarette tin, and an open metal tray. Additional contents include a set of dark-toned dominoes with light pips, several circular wooden and black composition game counters, and a single red die. The collection represents a typical domestic assortment of playthings from the post-war era. Blue tin measures approximately 155mm x 75mm x 60mm.
