A Mixed Collection of Decorative Ceramics Glassware and Metalware including Maritime Motifs
Description
A diverse assortment of decorative household items and ephemera. The collection features several amber-toned glass goblets with gilded rims and transfer-printed maritime motifs. Ceramic highlights include a white porcelain lidded box decorated with a central sailing vessel vignette and gilded scrollwork, a stack of yellow-glazed rectangular dishes, and various plates including a traditional floral patterned dish with a scalloped gilt rim and a contemporary polychrome plate with a densely illustrated cat-themed scene. Metalware is represented by a cast brass candlestick with a baluster stem and a small vessel with a brass neck. The lot also contains small floral and blue-and-white patterned creamers, a striped orb-shaped accessory, and miscellaneous paper goods. Various makers and periods, primarily 20th century. Box dimensions approximately 30 cm x 40 cm.
