Lot 267:
A Pair of Graduated amber Bead Necklaces with Gold and Silver-Tone Clasps
Description
This lot features two necklaces composed of graduated, opaque beads in a vibrant butterscotch-orange color, which appears to be amber. The first necklace is fashioned with large, oval and barrel-shaped beads and is finished with a silver-tone metal clasp. The second necklace is constructed from smaller round beads interspersed with larger oval beads and features a clasp that appears to be gold. Both pieces are strung on cord. No hallmarks, purity stamps, or maker’s marks are visible on the metal components. Metal has not been tested for karat purity. Weight and measurements were not provided.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good condition with surface wear and minor abrasions consistent with age and use. One necklace shows a knotted section in the stringing, indicating a possible repair or break in the cord. Clasps are in functional condition.
