Description
A contemporary South African decorative ostrich eggshell, featuring decoupage imagery of African wildlife from the Big Five series, including a lion and an elephant set against a savannah landscape. The shell is finished with a thick, high-gloss protective lacquer. The base of the egg is embellished with hand-painted fluid swirls in a palette of teal, forest green, and ochre. The underside features a clean, circular aperture typical of a blown specimen. Presented on a simple turned wooden ring stand. Approximately 15 cm in height.
